Former first lady of San Francisco city and current Fox News host, Kimberly Guilfoy said she's having conversations with the Trump administration about becoming White House press secretary.
Just last week, Guilfoyle talked on air about the role of press secretary on the heels of rumors that Trump was unhappy with Spicer's performance. "I think it'd be a fascinating job".
But internally, Mr. Kushner criticized Mr. Spicer, who has been the target of his ire over bad publicity for the president since Mr. Trump fired the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, last week. Notoriously adverse to being made fun of, it appears that Trump is gearing up to replace his embattled press secretary.
"Sean Spicer is a very nice man and a patriot; he's dedicated himself to this public service", she said.
In her recent interview with the Bay Area News Group, the Fox News star said she has the type of relationship with the president that is needed to thrive in the press secretary role.

The Conservative party is now in the process of picking a new leader, with the victor to be announced May 27. A source within the Conservative Party confirmed the report Monday afternoon.
"It has to be somebody with a very close relationship, where there's trust there, there's inherent loyalty, someone who's been there from the beginning", Guilfoyle said on a broadcast of "The Five" last week. "Very tough position he's in - I wish him the best, and I know he puts a lot of effort into it".
Trump is known to tune into Fox News in primetime, where Guilfoyle is one of leading defenders of the president's policies and a critic of the press.
Guilfoyle, who joined Fox News in 2006, interviewed Trump multiple times on the cable news network during his 2016 campaign. Guilfoyle, who was previously married to former San Francisco mayor and current Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, worked in that city's district attorney's office and in Los Angeles before moving to NY in 2004 to host the Court TV program "Both Sides".
Guilfoyle joked that her past and current relationship with Newsom-the two remain friends, she said-would not be an issue. She added, having already spoken publicly about her personal friendship with Trump in NY - she's known him for at least 10 year and her son Ronan, in fact, went to school with Trump's granddaughter Kai - "It has to be somebody with a very close relationship, where there's trust there, there's inherent loyalty, someone who's been there from the beginning". She tells the Merc, "Life is exciting and it's about different chapters in your life, so I'm excited about the future".
Guilfoyle, now a co-host of the Fox News show The Five, was reportedly a top candidate for the press secretary job after the election.
