In this Public Beta, vard collections and player progress will reset to ensure gamers begin on equal footing. Scheduled to begin May 24, Public Beta will be available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Those who participated in the Closed Beta will receive Card Kegs, and other in-game rewards.

The collectible card battler has been available in closed beta for a while. In the meantime, you can watch the developers' overview of the public beta on the studio's Twitch channel.

Ever since the announcement of Gwent becoming its own release, many have placed it alongside Blizzard's digital card game Hearthstone in discussions.

The public beta for Gwent will start next week on all platforms.

There will be a short period of technical maintenance between 22 May and the 24 May beta launch. Because it is a public beta, there will be a large influx of players who will be able to play the game because it doesn't require an invitation. Both the Gwent Facebook and Twitter pages will be updated with the current server status, so keep an eye out on those if you're really hankering to play some Gwent. Players must choose a faction-Nifgaardian Empire, Skellige, Monsters and more-then battle head-to-head with carefully constructed decks filled with spells, units, special abilities and tricks to take the game. If you haven't gotten a chance to try it out so far, your only way to play was to play the game inside The Witcher 3. Along with GOG.COM, a game store offering hand-picked titles for PC and Mac, CD PROJEKT RED is part of the Warsaw Stock Exchange listed (ISIN: PLOPTTC00011) CD PROJEKT Group.
