That's when Leahy weighed in.
"Stay in your lane", Ball responded, which ignited a freaky, argumentative back and forth during which he drove home the point that Leahy "scares [him] to death". I don't want to talk about all that.
Ball, historically open-to-criticism, answered to Cowherd saying, "I'm not friends with her..."
Leahy: I have a right...
He told Cowherd he had sold in the ballpark of 400-500 pairs of the shoes. When Colin stood up for his co-host, saying that she was a reporter, LaVar said, "she can report to whoever she want behind her".
Ball: She scares me to death.
"You've never had a bad day".
No matter what Ball says, FS1 keeps on booking him to appear on its shows.
LeBron: Boston fans are born 'pumped,' don't need any more
On the way to the locker room following that Game 6 loss, he yanked off his Cavs jersey for what many thought was the last time . The Celtics advanced to the Eastern Conference final after downing Washington in Game 7 of their semi-final series on Monday.
Regardless of whether or not you feel like Ball was honest when telling a sports talk show host that something is coming her way, you have to feel a little uneasy with Ball's reaction.
"No, that's what you say", Ball responded. News flash LaVar, if you alienate and disrespect large groups of people, those people will not buy your (overpriced) products and that is not good for your company.
"Uh, if you have a women's company", Ball retorted, a comment Leahy found incredulous.
I don't know how you can watch the full context of Leahy's comments and see claims of child abuse, but you can certainly see where she is questioning whether Lonzo has the ability to disagree with his father, and whether he is frightened to say something contrary. But I'll tell you what, if you act like that, guess what? "Something's coming to you".
Cowherd backed up Leahy, telling Ball she was a reporter. "I would never threaten to you". "I'm not a psychic".
Still, Ball's comments were uncalled for.
LaVar Ball went on FS1's "The Herd with Colin Cowherd" on Wednesday to talk about his son, Lonzo, following Tuesday night's draft lottery.
