Police are on the hunt for the "good Samaritan" who helped rescue a teenage girl who was allegedly held captive and raped in Sydney last month.

The house in the NY borough of Queens where a Sydney girl was found after being allegedly lured to the United States by a convicted killer.

When NYPD officers raided the home of 39-year-old Sean Price in the NY borough of Queens last week, they allegedly discovered Price and the 16-year-old girl, from Sydney's upper north shore, hiding in the basement of the property.

A Sydney teenager was on a plane bound for the USA to meet a 39-year-old man on the day her parents reported her missing more than a month ago.

It's hoped Nicole can pinpoint where she found the teen so police can narrow their search for her captor.

It's alleged Price transferred about $2000 to the girl's bank account before she fled on a plane to Los Angeles.

The girl has since returned to Australia with investigations ongoing.

The raid on Price's house occurred on May 11, the same day Australian authorities alerted USA police.
