Police are on the hunt for the "good Samaritan" who helped rescue a teenage girl who was allegedly held captive and raped in Sydney last month.

When NYPD officers raided the home of 39-year-old Sean Price in the NY borough of Queens last week, they allegedly discovered Price and the 16-year-old girl, from Sydney's upper north shore, hiding in the basement of the property.

"Any offer doesn't give the court much confidence", Brooklyn Federal Magistrate Judge Viktor Pohorelsky said in denying Price bail, according to the New York Daily News.
