The high winds were no match for the 50 to 60 trailers in the park 110 miles northeast of the Twin Cities. Officials are now assessing what affected residents may need.

The department said seven to eight homes in Rusk County were damaged or destroyed by Tuesday's storm.

The storms not only spawned tornadoes, but generated hail the size of baseballs and softballs.

Gov. Scott Walker says the devastation the tornado left behind in Barron County is the worst he's seen as governor.

At least one baby was injured, he said.

A confirmed tornado destroyed about 20 homes in central Kansas.

Ringer told KOCO-TV another 50 to 75 homes sustained heavy damage.

Even those who were not home at the time of the tornado were still on edge, like Misty La Rue.

Knowing thousands of residents living in a mobile home can be in the path of a tornado makes communicating safety a challenge for meteorologists and emergency managers. The storm struck a subdivision Tuesday just south of Elk City, Okla., about 110 miles west of Oklahoma City.
