EQT Corporation Is Buying Rice Energy For $6.7 Billion

The deal will give EQT Rice Energy's acreage in the Appalachian region, further boosting its footprint in the Marcellus and Utica shales, according to a statement.

EQT intends to sell the Rice midstream assets to its EQT Midstream Partners LP affiliate beginning early next year, Chief Financial Officer Robert McNally said on the call.
