Manhunt Ends: Escaped Inmates Accused of Officers' Murders Captured

"We know how important it was to capture them", said Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Director Mark Gwyn.

Donnie Rowe and Ricky Dubose were taken into custody after authorities spotted a vehicle reported stolen after a home invasion in Shelbyville around 6 p.m.

Sills described the fugitives as violent repeat offenders and extremely unsafe, having taken the guards' 9mm pistols.

The saga began with what could have been a scene out of a movie: 33 inmates were riding on a Georgia corrections bus as they were being driven to another prison.

The homeowner on Pruitt Road saw Donnie Rowe, 43, and Ricky DuBose, 24, attempting to steal a auto from his home. As they were driving away, a Tennessee trooper was arriving at the couple's home to perform a welfare check.

After applauding the "tireless efforts" of law enforcement, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal paid tribute to the families of the two officers killed.

Sills said the fugitives each had 9 mm guns they took off the prison officers they killed. As he began to back up, the inmates ran towards him waving their shirts in the air. "That shows you what can be done when citizens and law enforcement work together".

Patrick Hale says he was carrying a loaded weapon but never pulled it out.

'They were inside the caged area of the bus, ' Sills said.

Dubose and Donnie Russell Rowe escaped after killing two prison guards during a bus transport in Georgia.

That couple "are lucky they're alive", Bedford County Sheriff Austin Swing said. "[The escapees] told them that they would probably be dead in 24 hours and they didn't have anything to lose".

Investigators said the men surrendered peacefully when they were taken into custody. They also ate a beef stew the woman had been preparing, took valuables and clothing, and ordered them to concoct a story that would hide their identities.

The man and woman were threatened during the ordeal, Swing said.

Microsoft expects consumers to 'figure out' which Xbox is which
It has been said that Microsoft is not making any money from the sale of Xbox One X consoles even when they are priced at $499. The key was ensuring that anyone playing on a 2013 Xbox One or even and Xbox One S wouldn't be lumped with a sub-par game.

The fugitives came across a home nearby, where they attempted to steal another vehicle. "It's the two people from Georgia, escapees".

Dubose and Rowe face a possible death sentence if they are convicted of murdering the two correctional officers.

At that point, the fugitives left in a Jeep Cherokee, Swing said. "We need help out here quick. hurry!"

The wife is heard sobbing in the background of the call as her husband speaks to the dispatcher. You've survived. You've survived.

Authorities were vigilant and did a good job of spreading the word about the escapees.

"I'm still unsure about it because you never think something like that would happen so close to your house and so close to you".

The pair of inmates stole the couple's auto and a chase with authorities ensued.

One of the inmates fired on the pursuing deputies, but Rutherford County Sheriff Michael Fitzhugh said his deputies did not return fire and none of them was injured.

The chase ended with a crash near Christiana, Tennessee.

Over the next two days, there were several reported sightings, from a Family Dollar in Madison (that was later confirmed to be true) to a rest stop in SC (that turned out not to be them), but no concrete idea of where they were - or where they might be headed.

The homeowner called his neighbor, and he and his neighbor grabbed guns and chased the fugitives down.

"I prayed like I have never prayed before", he said at a news conference today of the moment he saw the prisoners approaching. "In 43 years, this has been the most intense manhunt I've ever been involved in with the most resources with state, local and federal offices and obviously other states".

". They took my auto".

Likewise, Georgia Department of Corrections Commissioner Greg Dozier said in a press release, "We are relieved to know that these two unsafe individuals have been taken off the streets, and the public is out of harm's way". Dubose and Donnie Russell Rowe escaped after killing two prison guards during a bus transport in Geo.

Monica, 42, and Billue, 58, were both transfer sergeants at Baldwin State Prison.

They then hijacked a Honda Civic, which was discovered hidden in a wooded area on Wednesday, and were believed to have stolen a white Ford pickup truck.
