In Jammu and Kashmir, instead of celebrating Eid some stone-pelters in south Kashmir targeted security forces. As per the report, security forces turned to shelling of tear gas and firing pellets after scores of protesters attempted to march towards the main chowk.
Clashes were also reported in the Sopore, Anantnag, Rajpora, Shopian and Safkadal areas in and on the fringes of the city.
