Colbert: Russian agents 'followed me everywhere' on Russian trip

Stephen Colbert Couldn't Dodge Trump Russia Story... Even in Russia (See!)

But the NBC comic might want to keep the champagne on ice. Colbert didn't spill many details on Monday night's show, except to say that the footage will be used in an upcoming week of shows all about his trip, which he called "fascinating".

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.

A multi-talented and respected host, writer, producer, satirist and comedian, Colbert is well-known for his previous late night show, "The Colbert Report", which concluded on Friday, Dec. 18, 2014.

"To be clear, all I said in the clip there is that I was considering a run", he said.

AG Bacerra said each of those states have laws that discriminate against the LGBTQ community. The list had already included Mississippi, North Carolina, Kansas, and Tennessee.

"I don't know if you knew this, but I was in Russian Federation last week", he told the audience.

He continued, "Also got some attention from American intelligence". If I decide to run, obviously I'm not going to ask the Russians to help my campaign, OK? "I'd have my son-in-law ask them". "It's 'I" as in 'I don't believe anyone calls you 'T!' You can't give yourself a nickname!"

Then again, Nielsen's L+3 numbers, which include live viewing plus three days of delayed playback, are expected to sustain Colbert's run as late-night king - despite Fallon's winning the week's largest audience for live plus same-day viewing. "Oh wait, somebody's already got that covered".

Colbert also teased Trump on Twitter, replying to the president's tweets about possible recordings of his conversations with fired FBI Director James Comey.
