iOS 11 beta 4 brings redesigned icons for Notes, Contacts, and Reminders

Apple releases iOS 11 beta 4: new app icons, prevents automatic connection to bad Wi-Fi networks and more

Apple has released macOS High Sierra beta 4 for developer testing. macOS High Sierra includes the new Apple File System, HEVC video playback, Metal 2, Photos and Safari upgrades, and more. In the Settings app General Software Update tap "Download and install".

The only annoying thing is you'll have to switch it on for each network.

The iOS 11 Beta 4 software update is now available to download for registered developers. On swiping little left, you get two options, view or clear, which are self-explanatory, If you click on view, you are asked to unlock the device to view that notification or open that app. The new update also allows opening any app right from the lock screen with Touch ID authentication. The feature will prevent your iOS powered handset from automatically using auto-join on sketchy Wi-Fi networks. - Apple also only shows three colours rather than four on previous iOS versions. Now you get a dedicated section for AirDrop, which you can toggle on or off. The icon now displays the key vertically instead of horizontally.

Trump Slams 'Failing New York Times' For Foiling ISIS Leader's Capture
The president chimed in after the segment aired Saturday, tweeting that The Times has a "sick agenda" over national security. Trump tweeted: "The Failing New York Times foiled US attempt to kill the single most wanted terrorist, al-Baghdad".

You'll need an Apple Developer Connection account to download the developer beta along with a compatible device. iOS 11 is still a beta for good cause: some features are broken, others have stability issues or don't always perform as expected, data could be lost, and crashes should be expected.

The stable build for iOS 11 will feature fresh updates to Siri, new AR experiences, better multitasking on iPad and much more.

A new option in the App Store allows the Updates tab to be refreshed by pulling downwards.
