Another hectic and equally challenging home season lies ahead of Virat Kohli and Company as Team India will be playing a record 23 global matches in between September and December, this year.
According to media reports, a BCCI office-bearer, who didn't want to be officially quoted has revealed that India are set to play five ODIs and three T20 Internationals against Australia from September-end to mid-October.
Once the Aussies depart, their neighbours New Zealand will land on Indian soil to play three ODIs (Pune, Mumbai and Kanpur) followed by three T20 internationals (Delhi, Cuttack and Rajkot).
The series would be the concluding act of a limited-overs-heavy home season, with 11 ODIs, nine T20 Internationals and three Tests, during which the Barsapara Cricket Stadium near Guwahati will make its global debut, hosting a T20 worldwide against Australia.
Two new venues, Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and Barsapara in Assam are in contention to host worldwide matches during the home season in which India are set to play a record 23 global matches at home between September and December.
