Chelsea Transfer News Monaco Kylian Mbappe

GETTYChelsea are ready to enter the race for Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe

Their crowns will need to be polished elsewhere...

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a known admirer of Bale.

The Welsh superstar could be on his way out of Real, especially if they land Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe. A similar achievement at Old Trafford would re-establish the club as a force within Europe and that would be welcomed after several years on the outside.

According to the Mirror, Arsene Wenger is prepared to up his offer to £50m, having seen three bids turned down already.

However, more of the pressure was on Bale than it was on Neymar.

The Premier League champions have the financial power to match and improve anything that United put on the table to lure him away from the Spanish capital.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to Liverpool all summer and is thought to favour a transfer to Anfield.

Real Madrid will consider selling winger Gareth Bale, 28, to Manchester United if they include goalkeeper David De Gea in the deal.

It's hard to judge Bale's career at Real Madrid, it's been one that he's been nothing but plagued by injury after injury.

Watford also want to sign Fosu-Mensah, but De Boer worked with him at Ajax and is hoping that relationship will help him to tempt the player.

Rush was quoted by the Mirror to have said "If he's happy then Gareth should stay in Spain, 100 per cent. He has improved as a player".

His future at the Bernabeu Stadium has been a mystery in recent months, with fears he could be shipped off to make way for the Monaco star. A decision to move on however, appears to have been taken out of his hands. Last season, Real played some brilliant football without the Welshman in the XI, with Isco excelling in his position.

Bale is no longer the indispensable figure at the club, as he has struggled as a result of injuries and missed the chunk of last season.

Earlier this week, news broke that Bale was willing to move to Manchester should Real Madrid decide to sell him this summer. Juventus were interested in the Frenchman and he moved to Turin where he became one of the best players in Italy.

United have a continuing interest in Bale and José Mourinho is keen to make a forward his fourth signing of the transfer window.

They now possess a squad that offers Mourinho with several different options, but his trusted 4-2-3-1/4-3-3 is likely to remain as the go-to formation for the manager.
