Well done, Minnesota. Juenemann will be a redshirt senior in the fall.
In front of the team, first-year coach P.J. Fleck entered the room with Kyle, a Gophers fan who has been at the University of Minnesota's Masonic Children's Hospital, and a T-shirt cannon.
Fleck posted the video on his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.
He introduces Kyle Tanner, who's recovering from a bone marrow transplant, and asks him about his favorite player. Justin met Kyle during a visit to the hospital. "Then when I got the shirt it took me a minute and everyone was cheering, my teammates I think even lifted me up a little". The t-shirt said, "Justin, congrats on earning a scholarship!"
CNN Poll: Trump More Popular Than Congress
The rural vote goes to the GOP and the urban vote goes to the Democrats. And no, President Trump is not the greatest president since Lincoln.
Fleck shared some incredible words about Juenemann with his team: "I've never seen anybody serve and give more than that guy, who is not a star player, who hasn't played where his face is recognizable".
Justin had no idea what Kyle, and coach Fleck, had in store as thanks for his giving back. He has never appeared in a game in his Gophers career, but will never forget this moment.
"We have a holistic approach for our culture academically, athletically, socially and spiritually and some programs don't demand those things to be connected, but we do", Coach Fleck said.
The original video of the surprise now has close to 400,000 views on Facebook.
