Riz Ahmed is said to be in early talks for a role, but the role is unknown.
"Venom" is from Sony's Marvel Universe of characters.
Variety say that Ahmed will play a "popular Marvel Comics character" if he beats Matt Smith, Pedro Pascal, and Matthias Schoenaerts to the role.
Tom Hardy will play the titular symbiont and marvel character.
Venom will star Oscar-nominated Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock and will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, whose Zombieland is a clever perfection of the parody genre. The Hollywood Reporter has heard the role isn't Carnage-who will reportedly serve as the film's villain-though he was allegedly considered for the part before the script was changed.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to feature force touch
If the Note 8 does release with such a large capacity of internal storage, it will be Samsung's first ever smartphone to do so. By applying a bit more pressure on the Galaxy Note 8 screen, users will likely be able to open hidden menus and options.
Ahmed appears to be the frontrunner at this time and it's pretty easy to see why. He starred in HBO's critically acclaimed "The Night Of", which earned him a SAG and Emmy nomination, and followed that up with "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story". Not too much is known about Venom at the moment, but we've rounded up all the details that have trickled out about it so far (including an exciting new addition to the cast!).
There's certainly no shortage of Spider-Man movies these days - we've already seen three big-screen iterations of the web-slinger in just the last 15 years - but there has been one very popular character left out of nearly all these movies.
Venom, starring Tom Hardy, is set to begin shooting this fall for a 2018 release.
He's been both, a nemesis of Spider-Man, as well as an antihero and protector of the innocent. Fleischer is also now developing a sequel to "Zombieland".
