The news is so absurd that "Saturday Night Live" had to come out of their summer vacation schedule to issue a Weekend Update to handle the news.

Bill Hader also made a surprise appearance on Weekend Update: Summer Edition to debut his impression of Anthony Scaramucci.

"SNL" will return for its 43rd season this fall.

Kenan Thompson played National Basketball Association dad and world-class braggart LaVar Ball, whom Jost called a "black Trump, everyone!" They were vindicated, and got a killer performance from Hader, who appeared by interrupting Michael Che with a "FaceTime call".

Halfway through the broadcast, Eric (Alex Moffat) and Donald Trump Jr. And Leslie Jones as herself offered an editorial about exercise, and engaged in what seemed like ad-libbed banter with an amused and perhaps mock-offended Jost.

After "The Wall" and "Weekend Update", "The Night Shift" (0.9, 4.5 million) is now up in the demo on NBC.

"Thanks for having us, Colin", Day said as the duo were introduced, while Moffatt said, "I'm Eric!" Don Jr. extolled the successes of his father's administration, while Eric was utterly enchanted by a fidget spinner. Kenan Thompson had a good cameo as basketball player and media personality LaVar Ball.

"We hate leisure. We hate fun and sun and enjoying our lives", said Colin Jost, "Weekend Update" anchor.

"When did the Statue of Liberty get so bougie?" he asked.

Tell us what you think! "You better swipe right on that day-laborer with a good personality!'"

Opting not to air a cold open, WU Summer Edition hit the ground running with jokes about the summer turnover in the Trump White House, North Korea, and immigration. "It's been a insane year these past few weeks", Jost deadpanned.
