Los Angeles Rams Acquire WR Sammy Watkins from the Buffalo Bills

Bills trade Watkins to Rams get Matthews from Eagles

Buffalo Bills make a splash, acquire Jordan Matthews and EJ Gaines

In return, the Bills will get cornerback E.J. Gaines and a second-round pick in 2018.

To fill Watkins spot the Bills also made a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, shipping off cornerback Ronald Darby for wide receiver Jordan Matthews and a third-round pick. Will they keep quarterback Tyrod Taylor?

In 2015 when Watkins played in 13 games, he had 60 receptions for 1,047 yards and nine touchdowns.

Overall this is a nice move from the Rams if Watkins can stay healthy. If Watkins can stay healthy, this is a player who posted 2,000-plus yards and 15 touchdowns over his first two National Football League seasons.

L.A. deserves some credit for making a move and trying to get better at the position, but they took a chance on an injury-prone receiver and gave up a high draft pick and a starter to do so.

USA citizen allegedly used fake eBay sales to hide ISIS funding
The scheme was managed by senior ISIS figure Siful Sujan, who was killed in an airstrike in Syria at the end of 2015. The $8,700 Elshinawy received from Sujan was allegedly meant to help fund a terrorist attack.

Matthews, like Watkins, is eligible for unrestricted free agency after this year.

Watkins is in the final year of his pact after the Bills failed to pick up his option, but look for the Rams to extend - or ultimately tag - a player they considered drafting back in 2014. However, when talking to the media on Friday afternoon, Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane assured fans that this is not the case.

Watkins had four catches for 39 yards in a preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, his last appearance for the Bills.

The trade of Darby to Philadelphia was certainly interesting because the third-year pro seemed like he'd be a good fit in McDermott's defense.
