When Jose Mourinho's Manchester United won the Europa League, he instructed his team to celebrate by holding up three fingers to indicate the three trophies they had clinched - Community Shield, EFL Cup and the Europa League.

The 23-year-old became Mourinho's first signing back in June, signing for £31m from Benfica, and has featured as centre back in pre-season and against Real Madrid.

Romelu Lukaku is this summer's star signing to help fire United to the top of the table but manager Mourinho reckons everything has changed in the past 12 months. "He's not ready to play tomorrow". It's not something that's urgent, it's not desperate to have it done or not.

"I just think naturally that a manger in the second season knows the players better, knows the club better".

Becoming the first United manager to finish on top of the pile since Sir Alex Ferguson is great motivation for someone with his pride and ego, and numerous troubles that afflicted his first season, despite winning two cup trophies, have disappeared. "He wants more at football's highest level, so we are having conversations and we are discussing the possibility of him staying with us for the second part of the season".

Mourinho says the Serb's consistency is what makes him a victor, explaining: "He is one of those players where there are no question marks with him".

Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young remain long-term absentees after picking up injuries towards the end of last season.

Fulton County DA Paula Howard said he felt it was inappropriate for Eaves to speak to the media about the case in the first place. Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name".

The trio give United a new spine to the team, though it remains to be seen if Lindelof, who has yet to get up to speed in pre-season, starts with Eric Bailly.

"There are obviously bigger competitions than others, but we will certainly be fighting on all fronts to win as much as we can".

'I was not sitting around having tea, ' he says.

Mourinho has indicated that he wants a fourth signing before the transfer window shuts on August 31, as he needs a winger to bolster his squad. "I really like his method of training, his motivation and his passion". "I understand the reality of the market, of the numbers".

"I don't think I'm in a position of crying, moaning, protesting".

"I don't say I know the league better because I have been in this league for a long time". I will go with what I have to try to win everything. We also got a central midfielder and a striker. After a first season of transition, Mourinho must stamp his authority on this team and is under a lot of pressure to deliver the coveted Premier League title.

"The other 25 percent (of the transfer targets) will be another player playing from the sides".
