Miami Dolphins reinstate LB Lawrence Timmons

Timmons left the team the day before before its hurricane-delayed opener September 17 in Los Angeles against the Chargers, leading the Dolphins to file a missing persons report.

An apologetic but tight-lipped Lawrence Timmons returned to the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday.

Timmons, as reported by TMZ Sports, did not show up the day before the Chargers game, citing that he was headed to Pennsylvania to visit his daughter.

"We worked through a couple things", Gase said.

The decision to lift the suspension after one week was not hard, Gase said Wednesday. The questions ranged from what he told teammates to whether he attended a recent practice of his former team, the Steelers, to what he believes he might be able to contribute Sunday when the Dolphins play the New Orleans Saints at Wembley Stadium.

The Miami Dolphins officially reinstated linebacker Lawrence Timmons on Tuesday and waived linebacker Justin March-Lillard.

We're in our second year here we've had one recruiting class. "I still remember that, so we need a good preparation this week". Bryant is joined by Travis Etienne, with almost 300 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. "I'll take it every week", Swinney said.

The Dolphins are 1-1 after defeating the Los Angeles Chargers and losing to the New York Jets. Neither would Adam Gase when he was asked about Timmons last week.

Reporters pressed Timmons on that issue Wednesday, but he declined to comment.

Various teammates, including quarterback Jay Cutler, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and running back Jay Ajayi view Timmons' return as a positive.

Timmons apparently had not addressed the team as a whole as of mid-afternoon.

Gase stated that Timmons could very well see action in London against the Saints, but he denied any notion that Timmons was reinstated merely because of wins and losses. "He knows that. He's going to come in and do everything he has to do". He's back. We're happy to have him back. Seven Dolphins were limited in their participation: linebacker Chase Allen (neck), linebacker Kiko Alonso (shoulder), long snapper John Denney (hamstring), wide receiver Jakeem Grant (ankle), linebacker Rey Maualuga (hamstring), tackle Eric Smith (knee) and wide receiver Kenny Stills (hand).
