Indians optimistic Encarnacion returns for game five

New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi walks back to the dugout after pulling New York Yankees pitcher David Robertson from the game during the eighth inning against the Cleveland Indians in Game 3 of baseball's American League Division Series Sunday

Indians optimistic Encarnacion returns for game five

Indians manager Terry Francona said that the club believes Edwin Encarnacion (ankle) will be available for Game 5 of the ALDS against the Yankees on Wednesday.

The home team has won all four games so far.

However, Girardi did get a few minutes to relax on the Yankees' flight to Cleveland from NY following a 7-3 victory Monday night in Game 4 at Yankee Stadium.

Kluber said he learned a lot from watching his teammates attack Yankees hitters. "The first one we were in, we were down 3-0 before you could really think about what was going on". "That's the best thing we could possibly do, and we feel good about that". And his Indians previous year blew a 3-1 lead to the Cubs in the World Series. But he was adamant on what that means heading into Game 5. "But I'll be ready to play", Encarnacion told ESPN. "What's done is done".

Corey Kluber would like to remind everyone Wednesday why he is considered an American League Cy Young award front-runner.

In Game 2, Sabathia was effective while Kluber had his worst start of the year. Afterward, Sabathia didn't call out Girardi for lifting him after 5 ¹/₃ innings and 77 pitches.

Uber's Indian rival Ola raises $1.1bn investment to deepen market presence
Earlier this year, Tencent was part of Flipkart's $1.4 billion fund raising that also saw participation from Microsoft and eBay. Ola has been expanding its presence across categories as well with Ola Bikes and electric vehicles being the latest.

Meanwhile, the Yankees rocked Kluber for six runs in 2.2 innings. "CC, I thought, threw a pretty good game here the last time". They hit bottom in the 9-8 loss in Game 2 in which they blew a five-run lead and Girardi was second-guessed heavily.

"We wanted Kluber if we got to this game, and we got to this game", Francona said.

Set to face off against CC Sabathia Wednesday night, Kluber has a long list of things he needs to improve on from his Game 2 start. "It wasn't yelling", Francona said. And we know we're facing a good team and we know we're facing a tough pitcher. Me being in the lineup tomorrow is what we all want; it's what I want.

Forget about there being any Yankee momentum.

"I watched a movie", Girardi said Wednesday during a press conference at Progressive Field. "A lot of who I am as an adult male, Cleveland kind of shaped that. So it will be a lot of fun to take the ball in Game 5 and hopefully get a win".
