Pittsburgh star Sidney Crosby has been unequivocal in his belief that the team's visit is in no way political.

There were the usual handshakes, smiles, jokes and one-liners that accompany the reigning Stanley Cup champion's annual visit to the White House.

On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be attending the White House as guests of President Trump to celebrate their Stanley Cup championship. It's a visit we've done in the past.

Scores of National Football League (NFL) players have taken a knee during the anthem in defiance of Trump, who has claimed the practice was an insult to the country, USA flag and veterans. The event is scheduled to being at 3:00 p.m. ET.
