New Yorkers and CNN viewers are set to ring in 2018 with Coop and "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen, it was revealed on Twitter Wednesday.

Added Cohen, "I've been friends with Anderson for 25 years".

Griffin hosted with Cooper since 2007 until CNN announced on May 31 that it would be ending its relationship with the comedian following a controversial photoshoot. Anderson said in a statement about co-hosting with Andy (via Deadline).

Bad canned quotes aside, the two men have a great rapport, as recently evidenced when Cohen was a guest on Cooper's primetime CNN show, offering to produce a Real Housewives-ish reunion show for CNN in which The Wives Of Donald Trump could thrash out their differences, literally. 49-year-old Cohen tweeted. Both Cohen and Cooper have also served as frequent guest co-hosts on fellow friend and media personality Kelly Ripa's morning show, particularly before Ryan Seacrest was named her permanent co-host.
