Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation searched the house of parents who lost their 3-year-old daughter in Texas Wednesday after the dad forced her to stand outside at 3 a.m. Police say they're thankful neighbors have been helpful with surveillance cameras.
The mother told officials that she was asleep when the girl went missing. She had been sent outside at 3 a.m.as punishment for not drinking her milk.
Mathews told investigators that he went back to the tree 15 minutes later and realized Sherin was gone. Sherin's mother, Sini Mathews, has not been charged with any crime.
"Mathews said he directed his daughter to stand near a large tree at approximately 3 am (on Saturday) because she wouldn't drink her milk", an arrest affidavit said, Reuters reported.

The investigators are baffled by the apparent delay in reporting the missing of the child. "As far as why she was out there, how long she was out there, that's the questions we have for the parents".
Police are asking for anyone living in the Sunningdale area to check any video that could contain the vehicle.
Sherin is described as three feet tall and weighs 22 pounds, she has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink top, black pajama bottoms and pink flip-flops.
Police said the little girl also has disabilities that make it hard for her to communicate.

Wesley told investigators that it wasn't unusual for the girl to wake up in the middle of the night to eat something so that her weight would increase. They were doing feedings throughout the day and night. His wife is reportedly very anxious and depressed over their daughter going missing.
The FBI and police collected evidence overnight at Sherin Mathews' home.
