Google Home now lets you shop at Target with just your voice

Target is also expanding nationwide its Google Express program that offers faster delivery from a test program in New York City and California.

They are offering free 2-day shipping with orders that exceed $35 (like many are used to with Google Home orders) and they'll even be adding additional features like using your REDcard to 5% off on most of your orders from Target. And for items like Halloween costumes when you need to browse and actually see what you're shopping for, you can now shop with your Assistant on your Android TV, and soon, on your eligible Android phone or iPhone.

Over the past year, we've made it possible to shop with your Google Assistant across devices.

The Google Express expansion follows Target's successful trial of the home-delivery shopping service in California and NY, allowing more guests across the country to shop Target's assortment via the service for delivery in two days. The other, and potentially bigger news, is that Google is bringing shopping capabilities to Google Assistant when you're using the virtual assistant on a supported smartphone or tablet.

Target announced today an expanded partnership with Google that, among other things, will now allow consumers to shop Target across the US via Google Express, including by voice. He believes that voice shopping will be more prevalent in the next few years. Guests also will be able to choose to link their accounts with Google for a more personalized shopping experience. So far Walmart is the largest retailer to offer its products on Google Express. According to Forrester Research, 12 percent of shoppers own some voice device like Echo or Google Home.

With Google Express and your Google Assistant, shopping is easier no matter where you are or what device you're using.

To be more competitive with Amazon, Google Express scrapped the $95-a-year membership in August, allowing shoppers to get free delivery on orders within one to three days, as long as the purchase is above each store's minimum.
