Although the company didn't share any details about the event, it's quite hard to ignore the big "U" on the invite (as shown below) hinting at the launch of a new U-series smartphone.
The media invitation didn't give away hints of the device, but we expect the U11 Plus to come with pretty much everything that the U11 already has, such as the Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage, the highly rated 12-megapixel main camera, and probably IP67 water resistance. Reports have suggested that the HTC U11 Plus is going to be unveiled by the company in November. It has big a graphic U alphabet superimposed in the background nearly confirming that HTC will unveil new U series phones and going by the recent spate of leaks online, many are betting high on the U11 Plus series. Buyers are likely to get a choice of two colors - Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver.
Aside from the HTC U11 Plus, the Taiwanese phone maker might also reveal the HTC U11 Life during its November 2 press event. Like the U11, the U11 Plus is expected to be another flagship from HTC. HTC's squeezable frame feature called Edge Sense is also expected to make a return. The upcoming device is expected to deliver a major redesign that's more inline with recent flagship handsets from other manufacturers. It is expected to be bigger and also better in terms of performance thanks to higher RAM and battery capacity. Based on previous leaks, the HTC U11 Life will be part of Google's Android One program like the Moto X4 and the Xiaomi Mi A1.
