Head of Amazon Studios resigns after harassment charge

James Corden under fire for jokes about Harvey Weinstein that 'support rape culture'

Amazon's most senior entertainment executive resigned on Tuesday amid allegations of sexual harassment from Isa Hackett, one of the executive producers of the company's original series "The Man in the High Castle".

Since Price's suspension last week, it appeared to be a foregone conclusion that he would not return to Amazon.

But Price's wedding has already been a casualty.

Price was suspended from the company five days ago following an accusation from an executive producer that Price sexually harassed her during San Diego Comic-Con in 2015.

The actress, who claimed that Harvey Weinstein raped her, tweeted at Amazon owner Jeff Bezos alleging that she had informed his unnamed studio head, likely referring to Price, of Weinstein's misconduct.

Hackett did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Because they've been behind us for three straight years, since I've been here, they've always made the right decisions. That's the reason we can say that. "So we've just got to get used to it", added Irving.

Hackett told THR reporter Kim Masters that she reported the improper behavior to Amazon at the time.

In a series of Twitter posts last week, McGowan claimed she told Price "over and over" about the alleged rape, only to be informed it "hadn't been proven".

"It's hard because of the fact that I have two shows and I love those shows and I value my experience at Amazon".

"We are reviewing our options for our projects we have with the Weinstein Company", the statement added.

Price was placed on leave after the allegation surfaced.
