LeBron James on Dennis Smith Jr. ‘The Knicks passed on a really good one

After the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Dallas Mavericks, LeBron said that the Mavs' rookie point guard, Dennis Smith, who finished with 21 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in the game, "should have been a Knick".

"I mean I don't know why he made those comments, but all I can say is we love Frank, we're happy with him", Porzingis told SNY's Adam Zagoria. The Knicks selected French guard Frank Ntilikina with the eighth overall pick, allowing the Dallas Mavericks to draft Smith with No. 9 pick.

Enes Kanter was traded to NY in the summer and has played a big role for the Knicks this season.

James, whose Cavs face the Knicks on Monday night, said he wanted to clarify his remarks for "people who just live in a box and for Enes Kanter, who always got something to say".

It is important to note that the New York Knicks were still headed by then-President Phil Jackson at the time when the 2017 NBA Draft negotiations were happening. That's not to say Frank won't be a great fit. That's a rookie. You can not just say anything like that about him.

The Cleveland Cavaliers star clarified those remarks Monday, saying he was not "throwing shade at Frank at all, for people that got their trousers in bunches". "I had nothing but respect for him as a coach for what he was able to do".

James thinks DeShaun Watson should be on the Browns. He's playing great, and he's doing what he's supposed to. It's the same thing. Claims $19 Bln In Sales On Singles' Day
It processed more than 1.48 billion transactions in total and has processed 812 million total delivery orders. According to Bloomberg , mobile transactions accounted for about 90 percent of Alibaba's Singles' Day sales.

Ntilikina seemed to take the high road Sunday.

"When I was watching the draft I thought they was gonna pick (Smith)". I wasn't here so I don't know the insights and everything. I ain't stating things that's false. This is facts, right? I've been with him for so long now. Like I said, it's no shade at Frank.

Kanter wasn't the only Knick who stuck up for their 19-year-old teammate.

"I wasn't even thinking about [Ntilikina] when I was talking about Dennis Smith".

"They're both great young players", Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek said.

"I just think that his athleticism, his playmaking ability".

James publicly called out Jackson a year ago after the Hall of Fame coach referred to the four-time league MVP's business associates as a "posse" in an interview with ESPN.
