Rose, 27, has developed into one of Europe's top left backs under Mauricio Pochettino's tutelage, but he missed nearly nine months of 2017, having suffered a knee injury at Sunderland back in January.
However, he was absent from the squad which lost 2-0 to Arsenal yesterday.
Spurs claim that there is no bad blood between Rose and Pochettino.

Rose's future at White Hart Lane was thrown in to doubt after he angered the clubs hierarchy by conducting an interview in the summer where he questioned Tottenham's transfer policy and wage structure.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League, when they host Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday.
"I don't think it's going to end well from a Spurs point of view", Redknapp said on Sky Sports.
"I'm sure that Danny has probably been tapped up by other clubs because he's one of the best left-backs around".
