At least three people were reportedly killed in a U.S. drone strike in an area of Kurram Agency, one of the seven tribal agencies, near Pak-Afghan border on Thursday.

Following a USA drone strike in Hangu, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that unilateral actions such as drone strikes are counterproductive and against the spirit of ongoing cooperation and intelligence sharing diligently undertaken by Pakistan.

The reports further add that three people were killed in the attack on commander Rashid's compound which is located in Ghauz Garhi area.

However, it was not clear if the commander was among those killed in the airstrike. U.S. officials have always been frustrated by what they see as Pak's reluctance to act against groups that they believe exploit safe haven on Pakistani soil to launch attacks on neighbouring Afghanistan.
