While debating a land-use bill at a committee meeting on Tuesday night, Pennsylvania state Rep. Matt Bradford laid his hand - for just a moment - on the left forearm of the colleague sitting next to him.

Representative Bradford, look, I'm a heterosexual.

"I'm a heterosexual. I have a wife". I have a wife, I love my wife.

"But don't - stop touching me all the time", Metcalfe continued.

"Keep your hands to yourself", said Metcalfe, a Republican from Butler County. "Like if you want to touch somebody, you have people on your side of the aisle who might like it". Bradford said in the meeting that he touched Metcalfe's arm as part of a plea for more time to discuss the legislation.

Needless to say, Twitter users had a field day, mocking Metcalfe for his sudden urge to ascertain his sexuality in front of everyone.

"I don't know where we go from here", Bradford said before calling for an adjournment to the meeting. Bradford suggested action on it be postponed to get more information.

I'm also certain he'd HATE for you to share his buffoonery for others to see.

Metcalfe said in an interview that he meant to draw attention to unwanted touching from Bradford, who he said has touched his arm or shoulder often in meetings in recent months despite his telling Bradford to stop.

In this scenario, it stressed, any adverse shock due to geo-political developments could push up prices even further. The primary reason behind no change in policy rates reflects the Reserve Bank of India's focus on inflation control.

As Bradford and others were laughing, Metcalfe was not amused.

Metcalfe's anti-gay views are no secret.

"I do, I do", Rep. Brian Sims, the Legislature's only openly gay lawmaker, said from across the room, triggering bipartisan laughter. "The Pennsylvania Democratic Party has previously called upon Metcalfe to resign over his repeated racism".

Metcalfe has been outspoken in his belief that homosexuality is a sin and marriage should only be between a man and a woman.

Metcalfe also worked considerably to stop illegal immigrants from entering the United States.

"In addition to being racist, Metcalfe is homophobic", Pennsylvania Democrats wrote.

Metcalfe tells the Philadelphia Inquirer that Bradford has been "continually" reaching out and touching him for months.

We are told Speaker Mike Turzai was made aware of the incident.
