Director Bryan Singer's Firing From "Bohemian Rhapsody" Divides Internet Discussion

Bryan Singer Fired From Directing Queen Biopic After On Set Chaos

Director Bryan Singer Fired From Freddie Mercury Movie

Even before this, however, Fox was reportedly considering to replace him anyway because of his continuous unprofessional behavior during the production that caused a rift between him and lead star Rami Malek, who plays the role of Freddie Mercury, the frontman of the iconic band Queen. Fox was finally forced to shut down production after Singer allegedly did not return to the film's London set after the Thanksgiving break, leading to his firing.

Fletcher (who last directed Eddie The Eagle) will pick up filming on the movie next week, with around two weeks' worth of photography left to complete.

As of now, Bohemian Rhapsody is without a director, but no announcements have been made on the change of release date.

Dexter Fletcher, once upon a time the director in the running to make the film in the first place, is to take over from Bryan Singer on the Queen and Freddie Mercury biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody.

Singer also addressed the rumors of the fight with Malek, saying that his departure from the film had nothing to do with it, and adding that though the two had "creative differences", they had put those differences aside and had continued to work together until just before Thanksgiving.

$0.51 EPS Expected for Carnival Corporation (CCL)
Sir Parker, a director at (CCL), sold 19965 shares at a price of 60.98 to bring his total ownership in the stock to 22,798 shares. On average, equities analysts expect that Carnival Corp will post $3.71 earnings per share for the current fiscal year.

"'Bohemian Rhapsody' is a passion project of mine", Singer said. "This was not my decision and it was beyond my control".

As a result of Singer's absences, cinematographer Thomas Newton Sigel had to step in to direct on some of the days while Singer was missing, sources told Variety. However, the filmmaker explains that he and Malek had resolved their issues - as was actually previously reported - and that their relationship had no further bearing on the production.

While this is clearly a large bump in the road for the studio, they plan to have Bohemian Rhapsody in cinemas for December 2018.

Singer released a lengthy statement earlier this week, claiming Fox was "unwilling to accommodate" his needs.

A representative for the director said that the halt was due to "a personal health matter concerning Bryan and his family". That remains unconfirmed for now, but it's clear that there's some trouble brewing behind the scenes and we can only hope that it all gets resolved sooner rather than later. The director has had a history of disappearing from film sets, including X-Men: Apocalypse and Superman Returns, and was also rumoured to have fought with Halle Berry on X2.
