Simmba: First look of Rohit Shetty's Ranveer starrer released



Ranveer's character is called "Bhalerao Sangram".

"Ranveer Singh's Simmba is roaring!" read a tweet on Thursday morning. Sharing the first poster of Simmba through social media platform, Karan Johar also announced the release date of the film.

Earlier, Kajal in an interview with DNA was quoted saying, "I would love to work with Ranveer Singh". ROHIT SHETTY will be back!

This is the first time, Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty will be joining hands for a film.

"Simmba" is inspired from the Jr NTR starrer Telugu hit "Temper", but Rohit had clarified that it won't be an exact copy, though he has bought the rights. He has great energy and after working with him in a commercial, even I believe so. So, Bollywood actor Ranveer and filmmaker Rohit Shetty did the next best thing is brought Karan Johar on board as the producer and decided to make a cop drama called Simmba. Co-starring Alia Bhatt, Gully Boy is a tribute to all the street-rappers of India.
