Brexit Irish border deal possible within hours

The UK prime minister said that a financial settlement which is "fair for the British taxpayer" has been agreed with the EU.

Ireland expects the make a new Brexit proposal by Friday as officials in London struggle to resolve issues surrounding the Irish border that are stalling talks over Britain's departure from the European Union.

The PM and Brexit Secretary David Davis will meet European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and EU negotiator Michel Barnier, Downing Street said.

The Government I lead will never be neutral when it comes to expressing our support for the Union.
