TGA 2017 In the Valley of the Gods Revealed Campo Santo’s Game

Campo Santo, the studio that developed last year's critically acclaimed Firewatch, announced their next project via a gameplay trailer today at The Game Awards: In the Valley of Gods.

The game's first trailer, revealed tonight at The Game Awards, comes with a 2019 release date attached.

It appears to be a first-person adventure game that takes place in a 20th century Egypt, given the equipment the characters use. Like Firewatch was, the new game looks like it will also be a narrative-driven game. The game, which will release in 2019, is titled In the Valley of Gods.

HUD: Annual count shows fewer homeless people in Indiana
Thirty states and the District of Columbia reported decreases in homelessness between 2016 and 2017, HUD officials said. HUD's national estimate is based upon data reported by approximately 3,000 cities and counties across the nation.

Developer Campo Santo has expanded slightly to develop this "sprawling" single-player adventure, but is still maintaining a team size of roughly a dozen people. The premise, as described by Campo Santo on the game's official website, will put players in the shoes of an explorer "in hopes of making a seemingly-impossible discovery and an incredible film".

In the Valley of Gods is in development for PC platforms (Windows, Mac, and Linux), but we haven't ruled out more platforms, including consoles.
