On a final note in the trailer, PUBG Corps confirmed that the 1.0 release "official" release for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on PC is locked in for December 20th, 2017, which will bring an end to the game's Early Access period.
In a special announcement, the developers confirmed that the new desert map Miramar will be available on the PC test servers tonight at midnight PT, and on Xbox One in early 2018.
Details and screenshots for the map were shown earlier this week on Steam, but tonight's trailer gave a much closer look at what's in store for the new map that features a tough desert terrain compared to the game's original map, Erangel. It's also probably really hot and sweaty. Thankfully, the map will contain a new pickup truck vehicle in order to allow combatants to traverse the new terrain easily.
Although Miramar holds plenty of secrets for players to discover, we've learned so far that Los Leones will be the largest city on the map, filled with lootable buildings, and that Pecado will be host to a large-scale casino.
Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek to be Rated R
Smith , Lindsey Beer , and Drew Pearce , have met with Tarantino who stuck around to brainstorm ideas earlier this week. That's right, should this film actually make it to the big screen, it will be an R-rated enterprise (pun intended).
If you're eager to play, you won't have to wait long.
PUBG will launch on the Microsoft Game Preview program on December 12. I'll obviously be indulging in a few firefights here and there, but my main aim is to tour as much of the new map as possible so everyone can get a good idea of how it all looks and plays.
Polygon reports that The Coalition, the Microsoft-owned studio famous for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and, more recently, Gears of War 4 was very helpful during the development of the Xbox One port.
