The Orlando Magic lost a member of their starting lineup during the third quarter of Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets, as forward Aaron Gordon left the game and would ultimately be diagnosed with a concussion. "Our energy changed", said Malik Beasley, one of three Nuggets to come off the bench with double-digit scoring. Jonathan Simmons also scored 21 points, 11 in the first quarter.

"We've got a lot of talented guys here, guys that can fill it up when we're sharing the ball the way we're supposed to", said Magic point guard Elfrid Payton, who also missed time this season.

Harris and Chandler, starters who both failed to score in the first half, combined for 19 points in the third period, pushing the Nuggets to an 81-70 lead.

Kenneth Faried led the way with 20 points and 10 rebounds and Denver rebounded from a 14-point first quarter with a 53-16 advantage in bench scoring.

Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 4 pm
Regardless, snow is expected to ramp-up over the next six hours or so, with some steadier snow this afternoon. MS and Alabama may see one to three inches by Friday evening, as well as Atlanta, Georgia.

Orlando is 11-16 after a 103-89 loss to Denver on Friday. Barton had 12 points.

Fournier, the Magic's second-leading scorer at 18.3 points per game, isn't making the trip to Atlanta and the sprained right ankle he suffered at the start of overtime in Orlando will likely keep the swingman out for a while.

Evan Fournier scored 27 points in the Orlando Magic's home overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, but he won't be available for Saturday's rematch. C Nikola Jokic (15.5 ppg) missed his fourth consecutive game (sprained left ankle), although the Nuggets expect him back soon. It's not like an ankle where you can play through soreness. They gave up an average of 116.8 points in losing five of their preceding six road games.

When healthy, the 22-year-old has shown signs of the player the Magic expected when they drafted him with the fourth overall pick in 2014. The Nuggets beat the Magic by 18 points earlier this season in Denver.
