As we already knew, Metal Gear Survive follows Big Boss' soldiers who were present on Mother Base at the time of a odd phenomenon causing a wormhole to open in the sky. Players are pulled through a wormhole and find themselves in a risky world filled with biological threats and hostile environments where they must survive and find their way home. Scavenged materials can be used to build weapons, buildings and other useful items, as well as develop a base camp, where crop growing and animal rearing facilities can be added.
There's even a story justification for items scattered across the world: they are sucked through a wormhole from MGSV's world and thrown into Metal Gear Survive. In co-op, players will fight with their comrades online to collect rewarding loot which can aid in the single player campaign.
As per usual, any video that comes out by Konami always has a significant amount of dislikes, and the new beta announcement and single-player commentary video covering Metal Gear Survive is no exception to the mass dislike rule. Producer Yuji Korekado introduces the game's survival and gameplay mechanics, as well as teasing a couple of action set-pieces. As announced by Konami, Metal Gear Survive Beta will take place between January 18-21, however, this is unfortunately reserved for PS4 and Xbox One players.
Coutinho to stay at Liverpool
Last summer, Coutinho was keen to leave Liverpool after Barcelona had three bids for him - rising up to £135million - turned down, and there is speculation the La Liga side will return for him in January.
Again, Metal Gear Survive is due on February 20 in the USA and February 22, 2018 in Europe.
Anyone who participates in the beta will be rewarded a special bonus if they go ahead and buy the full game, including a Metal Gear Rex head, bandana, and special FOXHOUND name plate.
