After teasing us with incredible posters, the makers of Padman have finally released the trailer of the film.
The trailer shows a short glimpse into the life of a real-life Indian superhero, who is referred to as Padman. Menstruation is a taboo even today in our society, so much so that girls absent themselves on the days of their menses from school.
PadMan has created good buzz on social media in the last 15 to 20 days thanks to Akshay Kumar. He is that man who gifts sanitary napkins to his sisters on Rakhi and makes sure that his wife is healthy in "those" days. I have lived with women all my life, yet I have learnt more about the topic while making this film than ever before.
Baby girl survives being born with heart outside chest
Within an hour of her birth she underwent her first surgery. "I'm glad I stuck to my guns not to terminate though, I'm so glad". Glenfield Hospital/University Hospitals of Leicester/NHS TrustVanellope was born with her heart located outside her chest.
We loved Radhika Apte in the film. Twinkle Khanna also incorporated the story into her highly successful book The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad. Amitabh Bachchan, who is the narrator in the trailer, also has a cameo in the film. The film's content has been widely discussed - that it is based on the story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who invented low-priced sanitary pad making machines.
The movie is written and directed by R Balki and is set to release on January 26, 2018. It is billed as the most progressive family entertainer yet, starring worldwide megastar Akshay Kumar (Toilet: Ek Prem Katha) who assumes the titular role of Arunachalam Muruganantham to once again showcase his commitment to social entertainers.
