Ross Barkley: Everton boss reveals transfer doubt amid Chelsea and Tottenham links

Chelsea Everton Ross Barkley

GETTY Chelsea remain keen to land Everton star Ross Barkley

Everton boss Sam Allardyce was non-commital when it comes to dealing Ross Barkley this winter.

"It's a hard one", Allardyce as said.

Khazri has however already played a handful of games for Sunderland this season before a moved to Rennes and according to Federation Internationale de Football Association rules, a player can only play for two clubs during a season. Allardyce brought Khazri to Sunderland in January 2016 from Bordeaux for a fee of £9 million.

"I think if and when that materialises, that there has been contact, then that discussion would happen between all the various people in the club from the top down to me, to make the right decision for Everton going forward".

The wedding of the year, which took us all by surprise (kind of), is not a topic that's going to get old anytime soon. The couple has a huge fan following and the fans always wanted their favorite couple to tie the knot.

"But if Ross stays until the end of the season and I feel he is giving 100 per cent to the team - like he has done since he was a kid - then he is an available asset until he leaves on a free transfer". The former Barcelona youth star played no part in the Toffees' 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday (13 December) and has not started a league match for the Toffees since September, his last appearance coming in the 5-1 Europa League defeat by Atalanta last month.

Sam Allardyce has admitted Ross Barkley's future is out of his hands and the midfielder could be sold in January as Everton look to protect themselves against the midfielder walking out on a free transfer.

Barkley posted an Instagram picture earlier this week which showed the scar from the surgery that was needed to fix the hamstring in his left leg with the words "not long now" and Allardyce is delighted to see him recovering, insisting he "looked fit and healthy".

Everton have jumped to 10th in the Premier League thanks to a four-match unbeaten run.
