The update improves support for specific games, includes fixes, and patches The Spectre variant 2 security issue. Users can install Steam games not in the list, but such titles can't use the service's express installation feature and must be installed before each session, a process that Nvidia says can take up to 30 minutes. Better yet, implementing them will be as simple as any other in-game graphics setting, as Freestyle will implement these effects into the game overlay, so they'll only ever be a single keyboard command away. For the time being, the beta service is free and includes games from a number of digital storefronts, including the newly-added Ubisoft Uplay.

As mentioned, the games are processed and rendered remotely at one of Nvidia's many server sites scattered around Europe and the United States, and provide a graphical output similar to that of the company's GTX 1080 graphics card. The new features will be available in the company's GeForce Experience software on January 9th - just be sure to enable "Experimental Features" to see them.

It's important to mention that to get these updates, you'll have to update your Nvidia Drivers to at least version 390.0 and download the new GeForce Experience 3.12 application. These are created to enable you to get more creative with your games.

Another new feature is support for eGPU.
