Speaking of that, Ford ensured that no novice would go without looking like a superstar behind the wheel of the Edge ST. Cycle the through the selections and you'll find a Sport mode that can tell traction and stability control systems to chill out and let performance-seekers have their fun.
According to Ford, the Edge ST will have the most powerful V6 engine in its class that includes a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine. The engine's also mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission (instead of the old six-speed slushbox), with standard all-wheel drive - but while the steering wheel has paddle shifters, sadly a manual is not available. If you want a set of red-painted brake calipers - as you should, given that it's an ST - you'll have to pay for an optional performance brake upgrade.
The ST is also visually distinguishable - there's a new mesh grille, new ide skirts and a modified rear bumper with dual exhaust outlets, along with sportier seats inside. It comes with standard 20-inch wheels, but a 21-inch wheel option is also available, as are Pirelli P Zero tires.
The heart of the 2019 Ford Edge ST is the uniquely-tuned, 2.7L EcoBoost V6.

Interior designers freed up space with a revised center console featuring a rotary gearshift dial, making room for an optional wireless charging pad.
