I am sad as I write this but at the same time I'm happy that I had such an adventure with the movie [I, Tonya] and with recreating a new positive image for her in the public eye.

Since the well-received movie was screened for press members and released to the public, the narrative around Harding has changed, undeniably for the better.

Robbie spoke with ET at the Los Angeles premiere of I, Tonya last month, where she revealed what it was like channeling Harding onscreen. Morgan asked, pertaining to how the film seemed to have made her look like a victim.

"You can't push me that far anymore 'cause I've been nothing".

"You're going to end your interview because I think Nancy Kerrigan is a victim and not you?", Morgan snarked back.

For the next several days in 1994, the investigation and drama played out as it was ultimately discovered that those responsible for the freaky attack were connected to rival skater Tonya Harding.

Honda Plans to Show Off Insight Prototype at NAIAS
Fuel economy of around 60mpg is mooted, although Honda claims the Insight can drive on electric power alone in most situations. There's a "prototype" in the name, but make no mistake, this is the production 2019 Honda Insight in all but name.

Prior to the admission, Harding opened up about her ex-husband's behavior in the days following the attack, saying, "He started acting amusing and I remember asking him, 'What is going on?" She had to pay a $160,000 fine and was sentenced to three years' probation and 500 hours community service.

Harding also told ABC News that she is done apologizing. She also agrees to resign from the U.S. Figure Skating Association.

The former figure skater will talk about the tumultuous relationship she had with both her mother, LaVona "Sandy" Golden, and her now-ex-husband Jeff Gillooly. Harding went on to win the championships in Detroit and secured a spot on the Olympic team as well. Yet in, she did say she overheard Gillooly and others "talking about stuff" a month or two before the attack. Here is something I'll never understand, that you can be sitting across the table from someone who certainly did something bad, who appears to show no remorse for it and you can still feel the oxytocin rush of love and sympathy for her.

It was during the 1991 Nationals when Harding became the first American woman to land a triple axel jump in competition. Simon Bruty, Getty Images Jeff Gillooy, ex-husband of figure skater Tonya Harding, is escorted out of the Federal Bureau of Investigation office after surrendering shortly after a warrant for his arrest was issued. "I don't want her anywhere near my son", said Harding.

Allison Janney won a Golden Globe on Sunday night for her portrayal of Tonya Harding's mother in the new movie, I, Tonya. Steve Slocum, AP Shawn Eric Eckardt (L), bodyguard of figure skater Tonya Harding, and fellow defendant Derrick Smith (R) are joined by Smith's attorney Robert Goffredi as they face Judge Donald Londer during their arraignment on charges of conspiracy to commit assault in the attack on skater Nancy Kerrigan.
