When THR's Marc Malkin pressed Brown on his upcoming role as N'Jobu in Ryan Coogler's Black Panther, Brown said that the production felt historic. "I won't say too much more about it, but there's only eight episodes, so it will happen soon".

Brown made history for being the first African American male actor to win the Best Actor award for Golden Globes' TV drama category.

Brown thanked "This is Us" creator Dan Fogelman for crafting an inclusive role specifically for a black man. In September, he also won the Emmy for outstanding lead actor in a drama series - becoming the first black actor to win in that category in almost two decades. "It makes it that much more hard to dismiss me or dismiss anyone who looks like me".

The "This Is Us" star can't believe he made history with his success at Sunday (01.07.18) evening's ceremony and hopes his triumph can "inspire" other young black men to want to follow in his footsteps.
