Square Enix Teases Upcoming Characters For Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Season Pass

Following the resounding success of over a million units of FINAL FANTASY® XII THE ZODIAC AGE™ shipped past year for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, SQUARE ENIX® announced that players can visit the wondrous world of Ivalice on PC beginning February 1. The title is rated T (Teen).

Though Final Fantasy VII Remake development is going well, we can't help but wonder how the game looks and plays now that developer CyberConnect2 has left the project. This sounds like the way to play, at least on paper.

What might be new in this entry is that it's mentioned that players will have swords, pistols, machine guns, rocket launchers and sniper rifles at the ready, along with magic attacks.

The Steam version of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will retail for $49.99 and come with a 20% launch discount.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age releases on PC on February 1st, 2018. Square Enix didn't list all of the specific new characters to expect, but did offer that there would be four "new" male characters, three from the "newer" half of the numbered Final Fantasy games, and one from the "older" half.

Three background music options - The original, re-orchestrated and soundtrack versions are now available from the beginning of the game. Square Enix promises that "more details" will be disclosed closer to the date. Once Square formally announces the details, we'll be able to get an idea of what this new version will feature.
