Ford Edge ST is Ford's Performance SUV

Sharper Edge: Ford Announces 2019 Ford Edge ST

Ford Expands ST Trim to Edge SUV

Coming up as the first Ford crossover to boast some major performance tweaks, the 2019 Ford Edge ST sports a new trim, a new look, and plenty of exciting features.

The American manufacturer introduced the 2019 Edge ST on Thursday ahead of the model's official debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The 2019 Ford Edge ST will be powered by a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 making 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque.

Ford will also be offering it with the 3.5-liter V6 engine that will be delivering about 280hp.The Edge ST will also get all the ST specs setting as well as the aero pack, dual exhaust tips, 21inch wheels and more. A Sport mode calls up optimal engine and transmission performance to hold gears near redline when cornering and will rev-match for downshifts. It also features upgraded braking equipment compared to the standard Edge, a sport-tuned suspension with firmer springs and more damping, and a stability control system with two different levels of "off-ness". Available 21-inch wheels round off the souped-up Edge's intentioned look, but Ford made sure to throw plenty of "ST" badges around the interior as well as paddle shifters and bolstered seats so occupants don't forget that this is actually a full-blown performance model, not just an overpowered grocery-getter. A new Sport mode offers more aggressive throttle response and shifting, paired with a "more resonant" exhaust note, seldom a bad thing.

The Edge ST will be shown off in the metal at the Detroit Motor Show next week when further details will be revealed.

UIDAI introduces temporary virtual ID to tighten Aadhaar security
The spokesman said that most of the NRIs, PIOs and OCIs may not be eligible for the Aadhaar enrollment as per the Act. By June 1, all these agencies have to fully migrate to the new system or risk losing their registration and fines.

The 2019 Ford Edge ST will also feature a whole host of advanced safety technology, and along with the rest of the refreshed lineup it will be appearing in showrooms from the summer of this year. This includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane keep assist, post collision automatic braking and LED headlights with automatic high beams.

Ford will also fit the vehicle standard with AvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control, Curve Control, and 911 Assist.

"Edge drivers expect a sophisticated, modern driving experience", said Cristina Aquino, Edge marketing manager. New options include a 12-speaker B&O Play premium audio system by Bang & Olufsen, Qi wireless smartphone charging and remote start. The Edge also gets Auto Start-Stop tech to improve economy.

2019 Ford Edge Titanium. Sync comes standard on the vehicles. That last item connects your vehicle with your home Amazon assistant, allowing you to keep up with daily appointments, check for nearby points of interest and even make some purchases without ever leaving the driver's seat.
