OnePlus Will Start Talking to US Carriers, Confirms that Next OnePlus Phone will Launch in Q2

OnePlus 6 flagship to release in Q2 2018 with Snapdragon 845 SoC

OnePlus for the past couple of years has been releasing two phones a year, like the OnePlus 3T and the OnePlus 5T, and if you were hoping for the OnePlus 6T, you might be disappointed. OnePlus 5T was one of the favourite smartphones of 2017, thanks to its killer combination of top-notch features and specifications in a reasonably priced package. Obviously, the Galaxy S9 in the United States will be the first smartphone to utilise this new processor and OnePlus will be among the next in line to use it. The year 2017 saw tier 1 smartphone manufacturers asking almost $1000 for their flagships.

Late past year, when the purported list of smartphones arriving with Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset Snapdragon 845 on board came out, it had the OnePlus 6 on the list.

OnePlus has traditionally focused a lot on selling its devices through various online websites, including its own.

The products made by Fieldbrook Foods Corporation have different branding depending on the store that their being sold. All production on this line has been suspended while the company and the FDA investigate the issue.

Lau wouldn't reveal anything else about the phone other than confirm that it will feature the Snapdragon 845 chipset. Similar to the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 6 is expected to arrive around June which is a couple of months after the Galaxy S9 is launched at MWC 2018. We may see the next OnePlus flagship in May or June this year. The 5T actually became the company's fastest selling phone just six hours after it was made available for purchase in November. The latter also got the Star Wars Edition, Sandstone White and Lava Red variants. If the company plans on sticking to its release schedule from past year, the OnePlus 6 could arrive in June.

Not much is known, other than the flagship processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 845. If OnePlus smartphones will be distributed through a carrier, the brand has the potential for massive sales because of its bang-for-the-buck products. If manages to partner with carriers, it will be a huge boost for the Chinese company, especially considering what happened to the recent Huawei and AT&T deal.
