Rockets' Chris Paul struggles from the field in win over Magic

Golden State Warriors v Houston Rockets

NBA: “Golden state” beat “Houston”, “Oklahoma” lost “clippers”

Golden State wants to show that they're still the kings of the hill, and that the Rockets need to be put back into their place.

The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets meet Thursday night in an anticipated prime-time showdown (TNT) in what could be a preview of the Western Conference Finals. They'll do what they do. "They're still the world champions without him". "We're still waiting for Luc (Mbah a Moute) to get back and obviously James is out for a while, but it's by committee right now for us". Kevin Durant led the way for Golden State, finishing with 25 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Chris Paul added 28 points and 10 dimes in his second game back from a groin injury, while Eric Gordon chipped in 14 points off the bench.

With that in mind, here are a few things to watch out for in tonight's game.

"As much as he talks about it, yeah it's hard not to", Curry said.

The Rockets average 43.1 three pointers per game, which ranks first in the league. "So to see how fast he has gotten to that level, the way he has raised his level of play, is pretty impressive".

Thursday, like opening night, will go a short way in determining how these two juggernaut offenses will match up in a potential playoff series.

There aren't a lot of numbers on the Rockets without Harden, and for good reason.

California Lawmakers Prepared To Struggle In opposition to Federal Offshore Drilling Plan
Adam Schiff, D-Calif., asked whether there are different rules for blue states like California. Just a pol asking a favor, and the Trump administration granting it.

Without Harden and Durant, arguably the two best players on their respective teams, this matchup loses a lot of its luster.

Calf injury victim Durant was sidelined, yet 29 points from Stephen Curry and a further 28 from Klay Thompson saw the Warriors pull away in the fourth quarter for what was eventually a comfortable win.

"Green kept them in the game nearly single-handedly", Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of the Houston native, who scored 29 points, including eight 3-pointers. Then, some are open that he misses.

Houston is 0-5 ATS with 2 overs, 2 unders and 1 push over their last five games. Green had 27 points (and seven 3-pointers) in Wednesday's win over Orlando.

It seems like any team vs the Warriors is a "must see" game but this one truly is. "I didn't want to mess with that, that's his moneymaker". "He is just out playing". "We'll try to hold the fort down until we get James back". This is why being home is such a huge advantage here, With the home crowd backing them they might be able to provide enough energy to keep up with the Warriors.

"I think he made it out of that collision all right", Curry said. They can be so damn unsafe if both can be healthy come playoffs.
