Guillermo del Toro and the cast and crew of The Shape of Water accept the award for best picture.

The awards are handed out annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association and the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, two groups representing journalists who cover film and television. He is now battling multiple sexual misconduct claims, sparked by The Breakfast Club star Ally Sheedy, who tweeted and then deleted a cryptic message, in which she appeared to reference his lewd conduct, while he was onstage accepting his award on Sunday.

Olivia Munn roasted All the Money in the World star Mark Wahlberg from the stage of the Critics' Choice Awards on Thursday night during a sarcastic toast segment.

"Wonder Woman" was accorded the best action film trophy while "The Big Sick" was adjudged best comedy film.

Fortunately, Jordan Peele's hit horror flick, Get Out won the award for Best Screenplay.

James Taylor & Bonnie Raitt to headline Summerfest 2018
Raitt and her band (which for some reason is not given the rank of all-star) will open for James Taylor on May 9. Two friends and fellow members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are coming to Kansas City this spring.

Kidman thanked the entertainment community "who show up to make really fantastic films and TV and let us do what we love".

Among the many Golden Globe winners that repeated at the Critics' Choice Awards were del Toro, Franco, Darkest Hour's Gary Oldman, Three Billboards' Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell, I, Tonya's Allison Janney, Coco, The Shape of Water composer Alexandre Desplat and, last but not least, German film In the Fade. Winners are signified by an asterisk (*) and boldface type.

She dedicated her win to "all of the women" in the room - including her mum who was watching via FaceTime.

Rachel Brosnahan of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel won the Best Actress in Comedy (TV) while the show picked up the Best comedy series award as well.
