"Meet LG's new Rollable 65" OLED display

LG alpha 9 CES 2018 LG TVs Get Smarter With AI

LG 88-inch 8K OLED display is simply amazing

LG introduces the world's first 88-inch 8K OLED display ahead of CES 2018. This is not all, however, as it plans to add another interesting product to the mix.

LG will also be showing off an 88-inch 8K resolution OLED display at CES.

LG has been leading the way in large-sized and mid-sized OLED displays for TV, auto-components and lighting. Fast-forward to this week, LG has come back with its next attempt - only bigger and better than before.

LG's latest TV display boasts 7,680 x 4,320 pixel resolution (33 million pixels), but that's all of the details LG has shared in terms of specs.

Thomas Lemar to cost Liverpool, Arsenal at least £90m
I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't see him beating down their door saying "it's now or never" because I don't think it is. And Brassell says Lemar wants to join Liverpool and if the Reds table a bumper offer, Monaco are willing to sell.

ThinQ is a form of artificial intelligence which is shared across a number of new LG products, from televisions and speakers, to fridges, ovens, washing machines and more. That also means the rolled up portion of the new LG panel won't use any power while the strip at the top is in use. It's as crisp and vibrant and attractive as the rest of the company's OLED portfolio, only it's that extra bit thinner, allowing it to be rolled down (kinda like a projector screen flipped on its head).

This makes for easier storage, while still achieving high resolution.

The concept is very impressive-looking though and we might even see a working unit at CES 2018 later in this quarter. It packs LG's fastest chip, the Alpha 9, which drives AI, picture quality and "ultra-fast" response times. We can also expect a 55-inch transparent display and a 77-inch wallpaper OLED TV display.

Of course it's not just a space-saving feature, LG envisages scenarios where the TV only partially raises to show an information display, giving you the day's weather report, breaking news headlines or even bringing up a voice assistant. We also got to see a bunch of concept robots in action which would be used for commercial purposes like delivering your morning paper in a hotel or helping you carry your groceries in a shopping mall. Samsung did not reveal the price or when it will be available exactly but it did confirm that it will ship this year.
