Turan has moved to Başakşehir on a two-and-a-half-year loan deal, meaning, as things stand, that he will see out the remainder of his Barcelona contract with the Turkish outfit.
Although the deal is for two and a half years, Barcelona have retained the right to sell the player to another club during that period if they receive a concrete offer to buy him, although Basksehir have the right to match that offer and make Arda their property. Basaksehir's buy-out options remained unspecified.
Turan made just 55 appearances for Barça in two-and-a-half years, scoring 15 goals. Furthermore, his general behaviour in the final months at the club was repeatedly questioned and deemed unprofessional.
Turan, a 30-year-old Turkish worldwide, made the move to Catalonia in 2015 following a hugely-successful 4-year stint with La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.
Astros acquire Cole from Pirates
Cole burst onto the scene in 2013, and proved to be a driving force on the team that finally broke the 20-year long losing streak. He went 12-12 over 33 starts and compiled a 4.26 ERA in 2017, a season after he missed serious time with elbow inflammation.
"In that time he has won 6 trophies: 1 league championship, 2 Copa del Rey, 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup and 1 European Super Cup".
"Arda Turan is returning to his country wearing the orange kit (of Basaksehir)".
The Catalan giants took to their official website on Saturday to reveal that the out-of-favour winger would be heading back to his Turkish homeland after they reached an agreement with Basaksehir over his temporary transfer.
Arda opted to join Barca from LaLiga rival Atletico Madrid in July 2015, but a transfer ban imposed on the club meant he did not debut until the next January.
