"Information from within Leipzig this evening that Naby Keita will become a Liverpool player on Sunday".

The Reds have already agreed a deal with the German club to sign the 22-year-old midfielder in the summer at the end of the season, but there have been suggestions that the Merseyside outfit could try and bring him to Anfield early.

Although Keita won't be able to play in the Champions League, he would be a major boost for Liverpool in the Premier League.

"He wants to leave us in the summer". He is starting today. "There is nothing more to say".

According to the original deal, Keita was supposed to become an official Liverpool player in the summer, but after Philippe Coutinho' departure, manager Jurgen Klopp has made a decision to bring the 22-year-old player already this January.

"My understanding is there is nothing to say about it", Klopp said.

"There are no inquiries or offers for any player who is on the pitch on or the bench for us today from any club", said Rangnick, who added that an increased offer would make no difference. I will not start doing that now.

A brand new company named "NK8 LIMITED" has been registered on the companies house website, with Keita listed as one of the directors on January 11.
